Our Roots

Our Mission

Since July 2010, the Cayce Beautification Foundation has been trans­form­ing Cayce, South Carolina, into a green­er, more vibrant, and more beau­ti­ful com­mu­ni­ty for all its res­i­dents and vis­i­tors. As a 501(c)(3) non-prof­it orga­ni­za­tion, we fos­ter com­mu­ni­ty engage­ment, envi­ron­men­tal stew­ard­ship, and beau­ti­fi­ca­tion projects that enhance the qual­i­ty of life in our city.

Our Story

Founded by a group of Cayce res­i­dents pas­sion­ate about mak­ing a pos­i­tive impact on their city, the Cayce Beautification Foundation has grown from a small vol­un­teer effort into a robust orga­ni­za­tion that spear­heads a vari­ety of beau­ti­fi­ca­tion ini­tia­tives. From plant­i­ng trees and flow­ers to orga­niz­ing com­mu­ni­ty spruce-up days and sup­port­ing local sus­tain­abil­i­ty projects, our work is dri­ven by the belief that a more beau­ti­ful city is a bet­ter place to live for everyone.

Our Work

Our projects range from the tan­gi­ble — like the Community Toolshed, which pro­vides res­i­dents with the tools they need to beau­ti­fy their own spaces — to the cel­e­bra­to­ry, such as The Bee, our annu­al spring spelling bee that brings the com­mu­ni­ty togeth­er for a good time and a good cause. Every ini­tia­tive is designed to encour­age par­tic­i­pa­tion, fos­ter a sense of pride, and make Cayce a mod­el of com­mu­ni­ty-led beautification.

Our Impact

Through the ded­i­ca­tion of our vol­un­teers and the gen­eros­i­ty of our donors, we’ve seen first­hand the trans­for­ma­tive pow­er of com­mu­ni­ty beau­ti­fi­ca­tion. Neighborhoods have been revi­tal­ized, pub­lic spaces have become more invit­ing, and Cayce res­i­dents have found new ways to con­nect with each oth­er and our neigh­bor­hoods. Our efforts not only beau­ti­fy the city but also strength­en the bonds with­in our community.
